After several months of planning and preparation, we've finally launched our website and kick started the business.

After deciding to take our DVD slideshow producing skills & experience and form an online business, both my wife and I were rather surprised at just how much work would be involved. I'd been working as an freelance IT consultant for over 18 years and was well versed with the legal requirements of running a company but it was all the 'other' things that need doing that surprised us both.

We'd got the required hardware, software, the website up and running, the PO Box set up and stock piled the necessary materials - we were good to go! But hang on, what about company stationary, user testing the website, invoicing, security procedures and a backup policy, not to mention advertising!

I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the many hours of hard work my wife & business partner has put into organising all these company requirements. I can only marvel at her organisational skills and productiveness in tackling what needed to be done.
